I believe that your talking about a ringback tone, like when someone is calling you they hear a song instead of the other stuff lol. Yeah that's a ringback tone, which you have to buy usually, I haven't figured out a way to get one without purchase anyhow. Well hope I helped slightly.

As far as I know... it's an option that some carriers provide, for a fee. RING BACK TONES

Don't know of a user enabled "app" that would provide this feature.

On the Blackplayer music App it gives you an option to set any of your songs as a ringtone. Or you could always try downloading the zedge app and looking for it there

This was definitely a paid-for feature that gained some popularity a few years ago, but haven't heard much about it since.

T Mobile has it, called CallerTunes a subscription service of of course enabled by the carrier.

Wow, I (thankfully) haven't heard a ringback tone in years. I didn't know carriers even still offered the stupid, awful things.

I don't think I have ever called a single person who has had this enabled.

A lot of people would just hang up because they'd think they got the wrong number or something.

Seems like a waste of time to me, as at the most a phone only rings four times before going to Voice Mail, even less for the call to be answered.

Definitely a caller tone. Ask your carrier.
It's not something you can set on your phone.
It's something that only the carrier can set as they control your reception.

I have a few older friend that have them... expect the carrier enabled it, charge them for it... and they simply have no clue they don't need it or that they are paying extra for it.

Yeah, I didn't really want to state my opinion on it but since others are I did find that thing totally annoying whenever I would call someone who had the ring back tone.

When you call, a male voice excited says "please stand by while we attempt to reach the caller"

Maybe the real reason I didn't like it was at the time a friend who was looking for employment had it on his phone and I often thought what the possible employer would think when they called him.

Ringback tones are a CARRIER feature (that not all carriers offer) and has nothing to do with your phone. Check with your carrier to see if they offer Ringback Tones.
