Whats the best way to do a full power shut off without pulling the battery?
Hold down ALT-Right Shift-Delete
^^ that's a reset. If you're looking to "reboot" without a battery pull, yes, that works.
You can power off either using the "Turn Power Off" icon on your screen or by pushing & holding the red end call phone button.
There. You beat me now. Happy? ;) Hehe....
@jenay - ecstatic. I can log off now.
Press on the power key which is located on the top left side on your BB or Menu > scroll to the power icon.
NB ... This info is inside your User Guide, it take the same time reading the User Guide as it take to read it here.

which one is the right shift? do i hold down all 3 at the same time?
thanks,

If I turn off power with the power button, I dont get the hour glass like I do when i pull the battery. Is it the same thing?
No. Powering off is just that - turning the power off. The "hour glass" screen comes with a "reboot" (either through a battery pull or the 3-finger salute)
how do u do a 3 finger on a BB?
Thanks again!
