    That would depend on whether your BlackBerry is running BB OS 7, BB OS 10, or Android OS.

    If you're using BB10 you can get the free Fing local network scanner from the Amazon App Store. It will show you all the devices and IP addresses on your network. Unfortunately the separate Ping function does not work under BB10.

    If you just want to ping a specific Internet address you can do this from the web browser. Just Google "ping IP address" to find an online ping utility such as Ping.eu.

    You can also go to settings > network > choose your wifi networks > advanced and select ping. There you can fill in the IP to ping in the lower field
