Excited for my Storm 9530! My first smartphone with lots to learn. Then I found crackberry and it was awesome! Downloading a leaked os almost every other day and helping others with issues was really fun.

Then came the frustration (I won't get into the issues that device had) and after a year I knew I would not be buying another BlackBerry anytime soon.

I love Android. Apps, games, customization, bigger screen, on and on. Blackberry has gotten better with bb10 but it's not enough for me to switch back. I don't feel unsafe using my GSIII so the security issue just isn't an issue for me.

My first blackberry was the bold 9780 and i thought it was such an awesome device because it was a great machine for communication and the typing experience was fantastic. Bottom line, the phone was very durable and was a workhorse and hooked me to blackberry ever since!

    BlackBerry for life!

My first BlackBerry is the Bold 9000, which was given to me by my sister at December of 2009, after that I can't live without a BlackBerry. It went on to a Bold 9650, Torch 9860, Bold 9780, Curve 9220, Curve 9380 and now the Q10 ) loving it so much. Ignoring my iPhone since the Q10 arrived.

Got my Curve 8520 in January 2011. Gave my dad money when he went into the city, originally wanted a Nokia 6710, but said he should get the Curve if there was no stock. Loved BIS and went crazy with the downloading. It's still one of my favourite BlackBerry devices of all time. Later went on to own two Bold 9700s, a Bold 9900, Bold 9790, six Z10s, three Q10s, two PlayBooks and a Dev Alpha A...

My first BlackBerry was the Bold 9900, which I purchased in 2011. I felt very sophisticated and classy and unique, like I had the most elegant and most good-looking phone ever.

The Nokia that I was using back then was starting to give out, and I was on the hunt for a new phone that had a physical keyboard because I wasn't willing to give up the ease and convenience.

I was Googling different phones and came across the Bold 9900. I thought it looked absolutely gorgeous, and I loved the idea of a touch-and-type hybrid because I could have the best of both worlds. I bought it and was amazed by the typing experience. I haven't looked back since. When my 9900 started to give out, I bought the Q10 and would upgrade that one to the Q20 when it gets released.

I felt really happy! Because it was my first smartphone, my Curve I believe it was. Unfortunately it was all downhill since then.

A friend of mine worked for Rogers and was one of the first to test pilot BlackBerry. At the time, the prototype was so ugly and strange to me. That thought stuck in my head for years. Even though he always told me it was amazing, I didn't think of purchasing a BlackBerry until the Torch 9800 came out. That purchase was a total fluke though. I was just cruising Rogers Web Site and on a whim ordered one. After a week of use, I was so made at myself for being such an ignorant snob towards BlackBerry. It started an addiction that persists to this day with my Z10.
