    Hello,

Is there a matrix or legend to show what device is, based on the PIN #?

I work for a company that has about 800 devices buy I need to compile who has what device & which OS they are running. A huge task without such a short cut.

    Any help would be great.

Not really, they're all randomly generated to a degree. The very first number is either a 2, 3, or 4

    2: GSM
    3: CDMA
    4: IDEN

What you're wanting to do isn't possible by PIN.

If you guys are using a BES server to manage the BBs, you can get all of that information from there.

    Kinda. If the device starts with 30 its a 9630/50 9500/50 device. 20/22 could be a Bold 9000, 24A/24B early 8900

    Hi,

We are using a BES, 4.1 I think. Is there a report that could be pulled within the BES console?

    Not so sure about that...

My 9550 starts with 31, and my 9650 starts with 32.

I really hope for the OP's sake that he's able to. I'd have a headache trying to
figure out each BB's model one by one when talking about 800
