Well......I know when my hubbie kept saying NO to me buying a bold I found the refurb bold for free. I kept talking about it and talking about it and I guess he has gotten so tired of it. Check your carrier about employee discounts- that may help with the cost. I also said that i would give my curve to mom for mother's day

i would definitely check with your carrier for employee discounts. since my sister and i got on a family plan and got blackberrys + my corporate discount, we actually pay the same amount now as we did when we had separate accounts.

I don't really know becasuse I don't know your income or what you spend it on, but I have a family plan that covers everything and I justify having a BB because I don't have a pc/internet (except for the computer my work pays for that I am supposed to use ONLY for work, wink wink, - seriously though, not allowed to put any software or dowload anything on it) and I don't have cable TV or a landline, so I don't feel bad in the least for paying for it.

Have you considered shopping rates around? I do know that generally Tmobile's BB data add-on is cheapest; $25/month.

Since the BB has email, I removed TEXTING (I was not that into it anyway) which saved me about $6.00/month, making the DATA only an additional $24/25 per month. Gmail on the BB is almost instantaneous, so it works well.
