I'm trying to get her to switch over to the Curve 8310 so I can get my Bold, but she can't justify paying for the data plan. I think once she gets it she'd love it, but she I'm having a heck of a time convincing her. Any suggestions to get her to switch?
hi mitch- well first if you have to convince her....that may not be good-i dont mean this in a mean way, but- is a bb for her? would she enjoy using it? it is a lot more phone to "take care of" than your everyday cell phone. I wanted to "convince" my husband to get a curve as well, but all in all, a bb is just not for him. do you understand wat im trying to say? i would luv to help you on this, but your fiance has to be willing to make the switch, and yes it does cost more $ becuz of the data plan needed and she also has to feel comfortable in wanting a bb. thats all i can tell ya! sorry!

I am getting a Bold here real soon and my wife wants nothing to do with my Curve..... Good for me I will either sell it to offset the cost or just keep it to use as a backup. Ya cant get anyone to like something they dont want/need. I have hated squash all my life and no matter what happens this is not changing
Maybe get her the phone of her choice when you pickup the bold?
Here's the thing. She does like the curve, but she wants two things: Facebook and Internet. Is Facebook any good on the Curve? Is the internet horrible? The last thing I want is her to get the phone and hate it.
Internet works fine for me here...... I have no issues with it. Facebook I did try and it did give me issues but it was no fault of the phone - it was the facebook app. Many curve users have no problems with facebook, its hit and miss.
I'm speaking from experience here, I got my curve in september, and by decemeber she had a pink one. I think what you should do is tell her that she can try it out for 30 days (which is totally true) and if she doesn't like it, then she can get another phone without data. Best part is, once a week goes by, she'll love it. Once you experience a BB its hard to go back.
Forcing a device on someone can have one of teo reactions. They will either grow to appreciate it or they will hate it and resent you for spending the money. If your partner falls into the latter category, use fleabay for your curve
