Is there a way to scramble the messages or hide the BB messenger app so only I can see it?

I cannot lock the berry since that would be suspicious and I need to be sure that when a message comes in, there is no alert. My wife is nosy and I dont want her reading anything and if she did somehow find the BB messenger, the text would be not legible to anyone unless they had the encryption key.

Please advise.
