My friend swears his treo (don't know what model) is so much better than my curve. I beg to differ.
Blackberry < treo, imo.

Actually, Blackberry > Treo. ;)
I'm thinking a remedial math class might be a good start...lol
You know what I meant :|

I'm thinking this may be a losing battle. People like what they like
and will convince themselves of anything. The BB is better at some
things (more of them IMO), the Treo is better at others.
the treo isn't better.
No phone is better than another, they are just different.
Each person has a "best" phone for them.
ask them what features they use most and why the treo is good at those.
If a blackberry can do those things better then explain how.
It could be that the treo is just the best phone for them.

Why even try to convince him? If he's happy with it, let him be. Because if he ends up getting a Curve he's just going to point out the short comings of it to you whenever he gets a chance. "It doesn't do this, my Treo did that." Blah blah blah...
I'll have to agree with amazinglygraceless; you're more than likely fighting a losing battle. It's kind of like trying to convince a Chevy owner that a Toyota is better. Take it from an old Treo owner who used to swear that there was nothing out there better than a Treo. And also swore that he would never switch over to a Windows Mobile platform or, God forbid, a Blackberry! I've now owned both! All three platforms have there die-hard followers for different reasons. All three platforms also have their good and bad points. It's definitely a personal choice and the harder that you try to convince your friend that the Blackberry is better, the harder that he/she will resist. Been there, done that. :D
Let him borrow your storm for a week...
But give him a couple lessons first...
Cuz a bb is definitely more complicated to use

Well, I was a diehard Palm user for years, but never had a Treo. My partner uses one, and so far my Curve has proven more reliable than my last Palm (Tungsten T3) and much more reliable than his treo 755P. The Treo is quite flexible, and has lots of specialized software (he's a med student at a tech-oriented school.) Nothing is all things to all people.

Answer - Loan him your BB.
I'd say to each his own...
But, I was a diehard Treo user for about 2 years. The only reason I even gave the BB a try was because I could get it for such a great price at the time over a new Treo. I thought I'd try it for my 30 days and return it for the Treo if I didn't like it. I never looked back. Let him try yours and he may change, but if not it's all good, you like yours and he likes his.
Or, at least, let him play with it for a while. That is how it started with me. I played with my cousin's at Thanksgiving a number of years ago. After that, I was done with any phone that was not a BB.
I remember my first smartphone being an Treo after playing with one that my friend owned and being all intrigued by it. Then the word "Blackberry" was just a staple in society. So I decided to go look at the 8700 (the best one at the time) and never looked back.
Treo is a slick phone, do I really need to go into my story I had 380, 600, 650, 700p, 755p, all palm and had the treo 800w. I don't think that you can inclued the 800w with the rest WM6 is way to dif palm. 2 things about the treo before I rave about my 8330 Curve. The palm treo phones sms text thread is out of this world ok it is a deal breaker to some. And how user friendly the palm interface is. (Second to none) but with ease you lose things you can't run more than one app at a time and mail isn't push allow palm has some of easiest pull mail like every 60 seconds the mail on blackberry is a deal breaker but they both have phys KBs. So I mean its kinda a toss up everyones deal breaker is dif and maybe they have one or two breakers that makes them pick a phone. I would try a palm phone again if the changed the os to run many apps at once. But if rim stays with touchscreens I might neva leave crack land.
The push mail is the bomb, to run yahoo, aim, msn, get texts and mail and able to reply while signed in to all. Make a call and still get texts wow. BBM need I say more. The track ball ball, the the KB, also voice dial. Docs to go. Wow I mean some other phones have some of these features but not all at once like this rim bb curve 8330 when one comes with a touch screen and a Qwerty KB I will sell my soul to rim.

its hard i just switched to bb and i was a treo freak 755p for almost 3 yrs.. there r some things i miss.. really just 2 things the text messaging cause treo groups them by conversations . and the quick shortcut contact dialing. oh yeah most importantly was the wirless sync for palm.....
Just let your friend suffer until he sees the light! lol :D
But seriously... some people may like Treos better than Berries. Everyone has their own preference and own traits they look for in a device

I'm coming from a samsung hue so I got nothing to add bc so far I'm happy with my pearl. I'm thinking abt giving my pearl a promise ring but that's a huge step. Lol

I used to be a windows mobile fan and a iphone fan the only thing I miss from both are threaded messaging and that's it basically but other than that iphone loses either way unless you put simplicity in here then iphone wind :p lend your bb or just throw his treo to the ground and give him your bb lol

Is there a program for sms texts to be threaded and time stamped from a 3rd party app? I mean they got it right with BBM what can't you do it with ya txt msgs?
