if you get stv-3 which includes extended 4G band 28, you should be OK

If you decide to get a Priv, make sure you're getting the STV100-3 model. The STV100-1 won't work as well. The STV100-4 would work just as well as the STV100-3, but it isn't native to Canada, so chances of finding a -4 are lower.

Passport model number doesn't really matter--they all will work equally well in Australia (but not as well as the STV100-3/4 Priv.)
