Go to the "How to forum" look for a thread titled "How to Remove IT Policy" for instructions.

Did you set the password and forget it? Or did you just happen to "come across" this blackberry and want to use it?

Hi, i got this phone from ebay, everytime i turn the handset on i type in the password 'blackberry' which is correct password as told from the person i purchased it from.

But if i need to unlock the handset etc it will not unlock due to it has a password.

if i go to option/password. it then says enabled with a red dot? i have been told its known as 'IT policy' ? how can i remove this?

Read the "How-to-Forums" under the blackberry help tab.
