    Hello Everyone,

I'm new to this site and am requesting your help!

I just got a new bold 9700 (its amazing) about 3 weeks ago, what an upgrade from my curve 8900!

Here's the issue: every time I turn on wifi the phone just shuts down. It just started happening today!

I'm running on the latest software version.

And i really dont feel like dealing with rogers for this issue if there's something i can do to fix it!

    Your help is greatly appreciated!!

My 9700 started doing the same thing one day. I pulled the battery, let it sit for a while, and it was fine. Only had the issue once.

I tried that but I only pulled the battery for like 30 secs and put it back in! I think ill let it sit then. How long did you leave it out for?
I also changed the network to EDGE opposed to 3G due to the dropped calls issue would that impact it all?

I had that issue with the stock OS (.296) on my device. Once I updated to .415 the issue was resolved. Now I'm on .421 and that issue is also non existent.

I'm having the same WiFi issue on .296. Looks like a good time to upgrade to .421. Can anyone point me to info showing what needs to be done to .421 before installing on my AT&T 9700 (i.e. vendor.xml needs to be deleted etc.) Is it just the vendor.xml that needs to be removed? Thanks in advance for the help.
