I ordered a replacement Storm from VZW and the unit they sent came sans Battery. I know how to do a device switch with DM with both units connected, but I only have 1 battery.
Can i load a previously back up file onto a new device?
Even with only one battery you should be able to do this. Put the old phone onto Dm, run the Device Switch Wizard. When it asks for the new phone, do a battery swap and connect the new phone after it has booted.
You can Backup with no problem and the Restore and you can also sync your personal data on eitehr/both phones.
Pretty mean of them not to send you a battery. Perhaps the store will loan you one.
Oh ok... I am going to try this. I know about when it asks for the second device i just could not remember if it had to be connected at the same time to do the first part of the operation.
