Hi Julie. Unfortunately, you will need to know the password to get into the phone with all the data intact. After the tenth failed try, the phone will wipe itself. In that case, I hope you have a recent backup to restore to the phone.

You might also want to take out the media card if you get to the tenth try and know you are about to fail it.

If you have a backup, remove the memory card, type the password wrong 10 times and it will wipe and return but everything will be removed including media and apps and even contacts and messages

If you dont I'd threaten my girlfriend to break up with her if she doesn't tell me the password it works
