I bought an "unlocked" blackberry tour phone off of ebay, it's a verizon phone that is supposed to work with any sim card. I have BOOST.
Everything works fine.
but when i insert my sim card, it still states "no sim card" and when i try to turn the connections back on, it's not picking up.
I tried to reunlock it by entering the MEPD code but when i enter "mepd" the screen stays blank and nothing shows up. WILL SOMEONE PLEASE HELP ME.
Boost runs on Sprint's iDen network, not GSM which your Tour is capable of. There are people that have supposedly put a Sprint Tour on Boost, but putting a Verizon phone on Boost is impossible, doesn't matter if it's unlocked or not...
Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but yes, if you want a phone on Boost you need to return it. Your best bet, and no headache, is to get a Boost branded phone...
