Help - just can't transfer some contacts...
I'm not sure what's wrong and need help
I'm migrating form BB 9650 to BB 9930
And I'm not able to transfer some partiular contacts
I'm not sure how many are effected but 3 or so particular ones that I'm testing are not coming through ... I'm sure many moe
I have about 1100 contacts...
#1 so I naturally tried migrating through the BB Desktop Software - AND IT DID NOT MOVE some particular contacts
#2 so I said OK no problem as I sync them all to Google with Google Sync and that TOO did not move them - apparently they do not sync to google contacts!
#3 so I tried free software DataBackup - to backup to miroSD card and move and that TOO did not work!
I'm not sure what's wrong! ?
Please advise me...
I imagine it's something that can be fixed one way or another...
I'm ready for anything...

I have never known how many contacts it can handle but since you mention 1,100 on your old device were these mnaually put into contacts even though it shoud not matter? I don't know the capacity it can handle.
Google sync.... Another good choice and I sothe frustration you are going through but that should work as well. Go to Google and log into your email acct and verify you have all the contacts your device says it does, if so again no reason not to get them over.
Just try again from fresh with the start of a battery pull for good measure and I don't know that the Bis outage in respect to DM would have anything to do with it but I just threw that out there. Let us know what works and what else we can do to try and help you.~Jag~

There were older posts warning to avoid the full device switch. It screwed a lot of stuff up for quite a few people. Instead use the Advanced option and transfer data only. You can also use the Advanced option to transfer contacts only. You open a previous backup on the left, check contacts then press the arrow pointing to the right at your current BB's database's. That should work. Post back and let us know how it goes.
