i have a problem setting up my email. im using blackberry curve 8900. i've registered for BIS. and this is my first time to set up my email. but when i tried to set it up, it prompts me with a message saying "your device had a problem connecting to the server. so i tried to reboot by pulling out the battery and sim card and returned them again, i also register for host routing table to recognize my network but nothing happened.

Anyone has experienced same problem? any suugestions??? thank you!!!

Do you have a BIS Data plan on your line??

yes i have BIS data plan. i can use other blackberry apps with no problem.

most probably, you have to enter IP address of your email server.

What email acct are you trying to set up; yahoo, gmail, hotmail, etc...?

i'm using hotmail. i can't even type my email account because it prompts me with this message "your device had a problem connecting to the server"
