I just got a new battery from telus because my other one didn't hold a charge well, I pop this battery in attempt to charge it and the LED flashes red every 6-7 seconds and it wont charge it, i tried through the wall charger and i tried through the usb cable.... anyone know what to do to fix this, its really pissing me off

Btw i have a Curve 8530 (Curve 2) and its never been dropped

just leave it for like an hour, when i first got my blackberry the battery was completly dead an took like an hour and half before it finally turned its self on. leave it on charge over night or something and see if it is on in the morning.


my blackberry also flashed red for about an hour too

Yes it sounds like the battery is completely dead. Charge it with the OEM power cord, NOT the USB, leave it go over night.

I've let it charge for 2 hours now and its still charging.. the screen turned on but it just shows a battery with a big x over it?? anywho know what that means

it means the battery isnt compatable for the type of blackberry you have

As pkcable told you, you need to leave it alone overnight charging.

It is compatible i have a 8530 and i was given the same battery i previously had when i originally got my berry
