Have you ever backed up your device with DesktopManager on your PC??
You would need to wipe your device and then restore from a backup to keep your info in tact. Other than a restore from a backup, you are outta luck :(
Hopefully you have a backup of your data. If not you might be out of luck on getting your data back. Were you installing software when this error message came up?
Depends on what data you lost. If the data you are talking about was Outlook contact, task and calendar data, then it is still available on your 'puter. Once you get the BB working again all you have to do is sync it again.
If you have done a backup, then you can do a restore after the BB is working again.
If the data was only on the BB, and you have not done a backup, then all is lost.
Dunno off top of my head what JVM error 513 is, but you're probably in for another reset which will restore it to factory defaults. But without data backups or sync from Outlook your data is toast.
I had the back up on my laptop which also went crazy and is in the store being worked on. So as of now I have no data anywhere. As far as contacts and such go I can find them elsewhere I just need to get my phone working. Do you know how to get it reset??

Only option is a small buton that says "reset"
After pressing reset, the phone reboots and the SAME ERROR pops back up. Removing the battery and re-inserting it ends with the same result. Not making ANY progress here.
I was updateing the unit to 4.5.0.55 at the time. BB DeskTop said there was a fatal error installing the software. I am not worried about my data, I took a backup of that before I did anything, plus I also have the data safely in ACT! and Outlook.
What is odd is that I updated my other BB 8310 to the very same version of 4.5 the other day and it worked just fine...
ANY IDEAS?
