AT&T is discontinuing the Pearl for "future models" because lack of parts and value to repair and continue distributing the device. In lack of better words from what I read from my SSR's email. Yes, it's true. I work for a COR AT&T store and we aren't ordering anymore Pearls.

Now the question. What will the future model be?

Meh...they'll still have refurbs for at least a year or 2 anyways..aside from that the Pearl is one of the only "newer" BB that is covered by equipment insurance from AT&T so if ya don't have it now...add it lol...but bare in mind if you've had your device for MORE then 30 days you cannot enroll it.
