Having problems with GPS
I've been having some problems with my bold. For some reason apps like Mypoynt and Yellowpages.com mobile aren't able to detect my location through GPS. I'm not sure why this is because google maps works fine on the phone. One thing I've noticed is that when i go to advanced options>gps, it shows both latitude and longitude at 0 and it shows number of satellites at 0. Is there something wrong with my phone that it shows these #'s as being 0? My GPS is on, I have .190 OS and I've tried reboots multiple times. Any help or suggestions would be very much appreciated.

Well, I do not use either of those apps. However some apps have options in the main menu where you have to start the GPS. Kind of like the My Location in Google Maps.

That doesn't seem to be the problem in my case.

Check the permissions of those apps to be sure they are allowed to access GPS.

Ok, well i figured it out. I went outside refreshed my gps under the gps menu. It finally worked and located my gps coordinates instead of it all being 0. Then I accessed mypoynt and it finally worked. However, now I'm inside again and it doesn't work. It seems a bit pointless if the GPS doesn't work inside. Maybe it's my apartment. I'll try it in other buildings later on in the day.

Yup. Your best chance is to stand by a window.
I rarely get a gps satellite connection indoors, if ever.

Standard GPS isn't supposed to work indoors. It's a technology that requires a clear view of the sky. GPS sometimes won't work outdoors if you're in a forest with too many trees overhead for example.

... or in downtown in a major city like NYC or San Francisco. GPS is not like cell service. As JonB wrote, your device has to be able to see the sky.
Some GPS services also use cell tower triangulation to find you, which leads many to believe it is their GPS working indoors.
