If I have my phone on in a plane(going to Florida in a few months) and do GPS tracking with BB maps will it be able to update fast enough and will it show the speed?? Just thought of it....

If you fly jet blue it will have a channel of all that awesome info!

But I doubt the berry will have enough service up there to do that.

Ya and you don't want realy screw up the radio freq up their. I don't fly never will have my self a lil phobia but thinkin just that a jumbo jet wouldn't realy want a tracking device such as gps on during the flight

interesting thought. Probably wouldn't work due to GPS sats being calibrated for tracking things on the ground not 30,000ft in the air.

I tried it with a regular portable Mio Navigator. Flight was from SF to LA. Initially it just keeps flopping around on streets thinking youre a really fickle car. At cruising speed ~400-600mph, it politely announced "you are going over the speed limit."

My guess for this not working with GPS-equipped berries is cause they use aGps with cell tower aid.
