Had it been "JAAP" (Just Another Android Phone) probably not. But if it was an Android phone running Blackberry's security system, then probably so.

id have still gotten it because i wouldnt cut my nose off to spite my face, i have no intense hatred or extreme loyalty to any platform i just buy what suits me best and what i like so if Blackberry decided to go with an Android operating system it wouldnt bother me. Im already on an android phone at the moment and contemplating the z10 when it becomes a lot cheaper to buy (poor student lol) because i love certain aspects so blackberry security, keyboard design and hub with android app availability and customization/themes would be the best of both worlds

I would have written BlackBerry off completely. They would have gone bankrupt in a matter of days after release. Who would want that? I'd rather get a Samsung if my only choice is between iOS and Android devices. QNX and BB10 is the reason I fight for BlackBerry.

No probably would be getting a Sony Xperia Z even though I'm not much of an Android fan. Even less of an iOS fan. Windows Phone try's to be different at least but I don't think it works out that well.

The only other OS I was ever a fan of was WebOS which BB10 took a lot from and improved upon.

Nope..... Probably an WP8 as I am neither a Apple or Android OS fan...... Android on BB would not have offered anything to differentiate it from all the other Android devices...

Absolutely not. I want to try BB10; that is the only reason I am paying for a phone with a 4.2" screen. Given the choice of much larger Android devices out there, I would have gone with one of those.

No sorry, I would have gone with a Windows 8 phone. Security of information is very important to me and after Blackberry I believe Windows phone 8 is the next best.

root just means you are now fully in control of administrator tools like the administrator account vs a standard account on a windows computer, thats all. Its so that the average user doesnt brick their phone by messing about with those settings (child lock basically)

Most custom roms are just for over clocking, greater customisation or upgrading when the latest version isnt compatible for your device or hasnt been released yet although yes some carriers do put a ton of bloat or an ugly launcher skin on their phones
