Uhhh, what's up with group texting? I'll text more than one person as a group text but when they text me back I get it back I individually. I'm sure you guys know what I'm talking about.

yes yes I know before 10.2.1 came out it was defaulted to group. then they said they would fix just like BBOS where there would be a check box you would (un)tick for group or not.

10.2.1 rolls around and yaaay fixed. no more all group automatically. but wait...how do I do a group if I want now? checked the overflow menu.

If I'm trying fire off a quick text between 5 friends trying to meet yeah I could go to contacts make a group then back to txt but that is redundant.

there has to be a way of choosing group or not directly from within the text window.

I cannot believe they updated 10.2.1 and basically just turned auto group off so now it only auto individual group.

Bueller...Bueller...anyone?

I think you may have to have to play with the setting for
Hub> settings > text messages > advanced > send text only messages as >

Automatic/sms/mms

I personally haven't been on a group text in years

Actually have no idea how they are supposed to work

In the Hub:

Settings > text messages > advanced > then set it to send text messages as MMS. Don't forget to save it after.

Do this and your group conversations will work perfectly. Once u are done, just go back and set it to send messages as SMS and save it again. For some reason BB10 doesn't automatically switch to MMS when doing group messages. It's really annoying....for me anyways

I've also noticed that when I've been included in a group text, it appears to the recipients that I have replied to them individually.

I've experienced all of this. They need to fix that. We shouldn't have to be to settings every time we want to send group texts and make changes that should be happening automatically.

I would pay serious money for an app to block group texts. I am on one of those lists, and am afriad of offending them if I asked to be removed.

Weird. Mine works. When I enter more than one person to text to it gives me the option to enable group text. I just enable it and go. My setting in the hub> text messages> advanced is set to automatic.

I am on Q10 TMO US .2228 and i don't have that option to enable group chat. I was on earlier OS and group chat seemed to be fine. Maybe this varies from carrier to carrier since you seem to be on Verizon?

For some reason though, when u actually go to do a group chat, It doesn't switch the conversation to MMS, so your messages are sent to everyone individually, or just to who ever started the conversation. I forget which though

BB10 should implement this like they did in iOS8 where you can either not be disturbed with the conversation or leave the group all together.

This came up in another thread where it turns out that on Verizon, it's allowed to work properly, but the carrier settings with T-Mobile don't allow it to work right. T-Mobile and Verizon were mentioned specifically, I don't know about other carriers. All I know is that it works fine for me on Verizon with most people.
