    Has anyone tried GridMagic CE?

I don't do much Excel work, especially on my handheld device etc... However, having a general Excel program for corporate expenses sheets would be great.

I am new to the BlackBerry World and heard that the 4.5 OS will have Data Viz "Docs to Go" etc...

Since I am new, I don't want to mess with upgrading yet etc... However, if I did upgrade to 4.5, will it include the free Data Viz "Docs to Go" application or not??

Grid Magic work quite well for small spreadsheets. I find
it is a pain for large ones or ones with heavy formatting.

On my Pearl I have 4.5.0.52. It only has Word to Go and
SlideShow to Go (Powerpoint). Maybe the other versions are
    different

You can try the premium features, but again I am not sure
    how long that trial lasts.

Thanks.. I'm assuming you upgrade your Pearl to 4.5.0.52? If so, after you uploaded it can with the Word to Go and Slide Show to Go??? I could have sworn I read that the 4.5 OS would provide the Docs to Go for free thus taking the BlackBerry a step beyond reading only and now including the ability to edit etc...

W2Go and S2Go are part of the D2Go package. There
is no editing in the basic package, that is one of the premium
features, along with Sheets to Go (Excel)

Like AG has stated... the Docs2Go with OS 4.5 is not the full "premium" version!!

It has Word2Go and Slides2Go... but nothing for Excel

I honestly would not wanna look at a spread sheet on my Berry, yikes

But for some people it may be necessary!

Agreed! Like I said that one page simple s/sheet fine.
But for hahas I tried looking at the draft of our budget
and wanted to jump off a bridge after about 5 minutes.

    Just not very practical.

I use gridmagic (free community addition)for a 1 page spread sheet of my monthly expenses and it does the trick. But like AG said it will be a pain if you are using more than a sheet or if that sheet uses a lot of cells. Gridmagic does offer another addition that cost a fee that allows you to freeze panes which might make the bigger sheets a little easier to navigate.

I would only be using it for monthly expenses. I noticed that it might not be free anymore?

Didnt hear about the community addition not being free any longer but I have had mine a couple of months and when I upgrade to a new OS I always have to convert to the community addition and it hasnt given me a problem.

If you register DocsToGo and take the free upgrade then you get Excel and editing. I just tried it on my 8100 and was able to edit an existing sheet.

This is the version that is mostly distributed with Palm and WinMo devices.
