    Hi guys,

I just purchased a Freedom 2000 for my GPS Locked Verizon Curve 8330. The Curve is an enterprise version, will i have any problems with some of the GPS programs out there? or will I.T have to change any settings?

    Thanks!

The Freedom Keychain 2000 will communicate with your 8330 via Bluetooth. It's possible that your IT Policy disables your bluetooth. That will stop you using the puck.

It's also possible that your IT Policy prevents you from installing 3rd party software. That would stop you from using any GPS programs.

Your IT Policy could require a password lock at such a short interval that there was no practical way to use the GPS software. The password timer requires you to press a key. Scrolling maps on the screen won't keep it from timing out. So a 2-minute password timer, for example, would make the GPS software very inconvenient to use.

Other than these three situations, I can't think of any problem you might have using a Freedom and GPS software on a BES BlackBerry. But these are very real possible problems.

it all works, Freedom keychain is fantastic. I know have the garmin trial, Geocache navigator, Allsport GPS and Google maps all working without any issues.

That's great! I'm especially interested to hear how the Garmin software works with the Freedom. I might want to try Garmin myself.
