Does the 9650 offer free GPS navigation via Blackberry Maps? I was watching the demo video on blackberry.com (BlackBerry 9650 BB-101) and seen an option on the map menu.

    See attachment.

    Can anyone confirm?

    Its not a hardware issue..

Sprint offers free turn by turn GPS navigation as a stock item, on any device that supports it.. VZ charges $10/mo for the same service

How do you like the 9650 so far? I am switching to Sprint soon for the plan prices and am coming from a 9700. The only thing I am nervous about is the battery life. The battery on the 9700 is incredible.

Well, i came from the 8330 so this is night and day.. its just a great all around device, and the os is solid

the 8330 battery life was awesome.. 2-3 days.. but the 9650 will do a solid 1-1.5 days for me with no problem.. and I suspect the 9650 will only be slightly worse than the 9700 in battery life.

I don't care if I have to charge it every night, I just want to make it through the entire day with moderate to heavy usage.

i get through the day easily. I always set it on the charging pod at bedtime so I start each day with a full charge. I have poor reception in my office/building but this phone holds charge/gets better reception than my Tour had.

As others have said, the gsm phones have better battery life, but the cdma battery life is not a deal killer.
