Is there any app, or would it be stupidly easy to write one that simply displays lat/long coords just like the clock app displays the clock.

Like nothing but a black background that says:
Lat: 77 deg 46 min 26 sec
Long: 43 deg 27 min 33 sec

so you could reference a map to find your location, like google maps ultra-lite.

...And, is there any way to only use the receiver, and not the mobile network, on an airplane.

I always thought it'd be cool to know where i am as i'm flying, so i know where to look for landmarks.

I know nothing about Lat and Lon but the app GPSed gave those when I messed with that program before. I don't remember if it gave seconds or not. There's a free version and a paid advanced...

Now there's an airplane mode in m� BB but I've never really looked to see what it turnes on and off.
