New to site please help. I have 8530 with total data package. I can pull up maps and track where I am walking but I dont know how to save my starting point to find my way back to truck. Should I be using the maps or the navigation icon. I click copy location and it saves to clipboard but it doesnt save the starting point unless I'm not seeing it.

Give BlackStar a try. It's a geocaching app that keeps track of your coordinates, sets lots of waypoints along your path and loggs elevation changes.

Ok I'm technology challenged. Is this an app that I can get through blackberry apps and if so is it free?

Yes, it is available through blackberry app world. Just type in "BlackStar" in the app world and you will be able to download it for free. I'm gonna go test it on my bike now
