I just got the storm two and downloaded a few gps apps. i know you have to turn the gps on by switching the E911 to location on, i did that but when i open up an app it can't find my location. what am i doing wrong?
If your gps is set to e911 only, it won't work for your apps. You need the other setting, and make sure your permissions are set to allow gps/location services are set to on/prompt.
Make sure you are in an open area without tall buildings (and maybe trees).
I don't know about keyboard entry on the Storm but on the qwerty models (keyboards), you can test. Go to options/status and type 'test' without the quotes and then scroll to test the gps - you need to press the ball/pad to get to FIX (start) the gps process. There probably is a way to get to the TESTS on the Storm???
