    Is there such a thing as a GPS App that doesn't NEED Data?

    Something we could write to SD and use the GPS device on the phone?

    What good would it do, I guess you could just use it as coordinates, but having it on a map makes it worth something.

    I think that's exactly what he means. An OFFLINE GPS solution.

    as far as I know there isn't one to date, but I could be wrong.


    at least I haven't heard/seen on that can be implemented easily. (eg. drop onto the SD card and use)

    If you need preloaded maps, you might also want to consider TrekBuddy and Mobile GMaps. These are the only two mapping apps that I know of for the BlackBerry that don't use real-time data. I haven't used either.
