For AT&T neither of these are options.

    Warranty:

    1) Once the case is removed the warranty is void
    2) The warranty does not cover "self inflicted wounds"
    and this is one.

    Insurance:

    http://www.wireless.att.com/learn/en...ance-terms.pdf

    E. Loss caused by or resulting from faulty repair, adjusting, installation,
    servicing or maintenance
, unless fire or explosion ensues and then
only for Loss by ensuing fire or explosion.
Loss caused by or resulting from unauthorized repair
    or replacement.

I see an outlay of cash in the OP's future. Or learning to live without
    the GPS function

You could always order a new midplate from ebay.. would be about 30$ for it.. it has the gps antenna, speakerphone speaker, flash, and battery door clasp pre installed.. Could try that before buying a new phone..
