Article said lost or stolen.... didn't say how large their staff is, so it's hard to say if 45 Mobile phones being "missing" is really a large number or not. But with 19 Laptops also going missing in the same time frame, I'd say it was a pretty standard number of losses.

But you would think that a missing phone from someone in the Cabinet Office staff would be treated a little differently but the police of what ever security force the government uses.... just to make sure what had happened wasn't a threat.

But most likely these were just lost device.... or someone was wanting an upgrade.
