Don't know if you can export your contacts from a BB back-up via Desktop Manager, haven't tried that. In my case I synchronize, via DM, my contacts; Calendar etc to Microsoft Outlook. Then of course it's easy for me to export from outlook to various formats, ie: .CSV for excel or many others.

Any other ideas, anyone?
