Starting January 30th, Google will stop offering free EAS support. They will continue supporting EAS on devices already connected to EAS, but after the Jan 30th cutoff date, you won't be able to connect any additional devices to EAS. Support will continue for paying customers. If EAS is important to you.... you might have to upgrade your account.

Yeah, I guess this is where I'm confused. I have a BlackBerry Bold 9900. If I lost it on February 1 and got a new 9900, or had to do a security wipe...would I lose access to Google Calendar & Contacts sync on my BlackBerry?

No, you can still use CalDAV and CardDAV.

So wait - CalDAV and CardDAV are available on BlackBerry 7? How do I access those settings? (I might as well update it now so I don't have to mess with it in February)

I know there isn't much information out there, but basically I have one question: starting February 1, will BIS Gmail sync work on new devices/activations? I know email will, but will contacts/calendar sync, or is this EAS thing totally different from what we as BIS users are syncing?

    Thanks everyone!

I think the trick is letting BIS do all the synchronization. That link will continue to work. If you lose your BB7 device and have to get a new one, you'll still use your same BIS account for the connection.

yeah but if you had syncing of multiple calendars BIS will only sync the primary calendar I need more then one calendar to sync there has to be a workaround
