Google Maps 2.2 - How can I get it?
- Hi, I've got a Curve on the Power Vision Pack from Sprint, so my BB browser is locked. I've got opera mini, unlimited internet, all that jazz. So, since my BB browser is locked, I can't do OTA downloads. This leads me to ask the only question I can ask: How do I get Google Maps Mobile 2.2?
I've tried going to the website, clicking on "Google Maps for your Enterprise" to get the alx files directly, but when I use the desktop manager to try to install them it just says "No additional applications designed for your device were found." Looking at the folders with the .alx file, is showed 4.0, 4.1, and 4.2 for the COD files. I figure this is BB OS version, so I looked mine up and mine is 4.3. Also the GMM alx file wasn't even 2.2, it was 2.1.

- The "no additional applications" is common and means only that you don't have your handheld's software installed on your DM. Download the handheld software from your carrier's website, install and then run DM. Should fix your problem.

@tcpetersesq: I'm not entirely sure what you mean...what software are you talking about? You mean software such as Opera Mini? Or do you mean something akin to firmware for my Curve?
Also, the GPS in Google Maps 2.2 isn't tracking me to the dot. Still doing that triangulation thing. Don't think I searched thoroughly enough in the forums, but a scan of the Google Maps related threads in the GPS & Mapping forums didn't show me anything of use.
I checked my preferences, and GPS Data Source is set to Device GPS (no alternative) and GPS Services is set to Location On. I checked the Maps setting, and there was nothing there, and I couldn't select Google Maps.06-11-08 08:13 PMLike 0
