Seems like Advanced IMAP has now become a regular feature in Gmail (it's no longer an option in Labs). This means that the fix I had used previously (forums.crackberry.com/showthread.php?p=4438592) seems to no longer apply, and my Gmail has stopped syncing to my BB. I'm getting the "Action required" email again:

"Your @gmail.com email messages are not being delivered to your BlackBerry(R) device. To receive your email messages, turn on the IMAP setting for All Mail in your @gmail.com account."

This just started causing problems about an hour or so ago. Tried deleting the account as well as resending service books, but it hasn't worked. Anyone else have this problem?

This scared me and I don't think google realises what they did. I don't think any blackberry user who EVER turned on Advanced IMAP lab feature will be able to use gmail now.

My wife never turned on this lab feature and it seems her email is still working, not sure yet, will test.

I suppose when gmail says "Gmail IMAP access is not officially supported for BlackBerry" (http colon slash slash mail dot google dot com / support / bin / answer.py?answer=78882]BlackBerry - Gmail Help) they mean it and we just need to stop using gmail... right. Or just use the gmail app then (which cannot select text in emails) or the nice new web interface.

It's a real pity one cannot easily contact someone in gmail who will know what to do. We'll just have to wait until thousands more Blackberry users ask for help on forums until a google employee happens to read one of the posts and cares to investigate.

There you go , now we will have to wait for a lot of people to complain. My email stop working today about 3 pm Pacific time. I don't see this been fixed too.
Waisted 3 hours trying to fix until I realized what just happened.
This is going to be fun. Any one with a temp solution?

I had the same thing happen to me this week and was getting very frustrated. I had tried changing my password, deleting my account and then readding (which was failing each time) and checking on line. I finally tried the Google Captcha unlock and it worked for me and I was able to re-add my gmail account back to my BB.

I have two gmail accounts on my torch, and one has no problems but the other has the same issue with the ALL MAIL showing up instead of the inbox. I have added the label INBOX but it didn't work. I went to gmail on my pc and all the IMAP boxes are checked.

I have tried a couple work arounds that have been mentioned but nothing seems to work. I have deleted and re-setup the email account as well as rebooting so many times but nothing fixes this one.

Are there any other suggestions that work

I tried asking but didn't get any help.

I did search and there's a thread suggesting to just Forward your GMail. I ended up just creating a Rogers.BlackBerry.Net account.
