Is there nothing we can do to have it where when an email is read on our BlackBerry, using GMail, it's the same, i.e. mark as read in GMail?

This is why I like Yahoo! It's basically 'true' sync.

    Your thoughts.

I think I should take off work today.

Oh wait .. you mean with Gmail? Right .. I totally agree. Sync would be fantastic. Google isn't really a big enough company with enough resources to work that out though apparently.

I think the way Gmail works is different than a lot of other providers and would also like it to sync like that. I also wish that messages deleted through Gmail would be deleted on my BlackBerry but that's not the case. It has to do with the fact that Gmail doesn't use folders but instead hides and displays messages based on filters. That's probably why the BlackBerry doesn't register deleted messages since it's really just in the same location it was but is hidden in Gmail itself.

I'm also in agreement with you all. Two-way syncing of gmail would be great. This is one of the reasons why I prefer the Gmail app. I like living in a world where it doesn't matter if I'm on my computer or my blackberry, I know everything is in sync. Not just Gmail, but RSS feeds and anything else of the sort. Viigo also failed at this for me. I just use Google Reader from Opera Mini to get my RSS feeds.
