I have just been looking at the Otterbox Defender Series for my 8900, and I am wondering if any have been using this case to protect your baby? If not how are geocachers protecting your babies?

I have been seriously looking at the same product. Right now I use a lanyard and a pocket while I am geocaching.

Remember, even the otterbox is not waterPROOF - just resistant. It will protect from falls but heavy rain could work its way into the unit.

I've got one for my 8830. But I still use a plastic bag when I'm hiking, biking or skiing with it.

I understand that the Otterbox is not waterproof. Which I clearly understand. But it is a heck of alot more defense than not having it.

If you're crashing around in the woods I think you'll love the Otterbox. It makes your BB more like a tank, as long as you are clear on the moisture resistance.

Too bad the otterbox isn't out for the 8900 yet! I had one for my 8100 for work, and it takes a licking and keeps on ticking. (Old reference...saw it on TV Land...ps I'm not 67)

It actually is out on the Otterbox site, but not here.
