ok, so here it is, now it finally works, after having errors all day.

Enter the following link in your BlackBerry browser:

    Garmin Mobile: Built for BlackBerry

    Supported phones: 8830, 8800, 8310, 8703e, 8130
    Supported carriers: Sprint, T-Mobile, AT&T

I have tried this, one GPS route, and this seems as good, if not better than Telenav so far. $99 for a 1 year subscription, so its comparable to Telenav., but the TRIAL is a full, 100% trial of the software you can purchase.

Bastards don't support the Curve 8320. Why?? If it works on a frigging 8130 it will work on a Curve. Arg. Anyone have the Blackberry file they'd like to send me? I have all the Garmin Mobile supplementary files and maps already.

Hi, just recently got a Curve 8320 and looking at GPS options. Does the Garmin $99 subscription requires every year? If I don't pay after one year, I cannot use the software or I just won't get the update? According to Garmin, their software suppose to work with 8320, is it true? Thanks for any input.

Well its 99.00 if you pay up front but you can also get billed every month for 10.00. But if you pay the 99.00 then you wont have to worry about a bill for 12 months. I personally may do the 10 a month because I can cancel at anytime.

Can I still use it without the subscription? I'm looking for a GPS program that provide turn-by-turn direction and re-route without the subscription. I don't really need the traffic or even a very very update map since I can do that with Google Maps.

I dont think you can use it for free after the 30 days. I dont know of any
others that may be free and provide what you are looking for. I am sure some others will chime in with answers for you.

I don't really mind if I have to pay, just don't want to keep on paying the subscription.

Garmin Mobile does not load all the maps to your BB. They just load as they are needed. In other words, once you cancel your subscription, nothing will work.

Have you tried Nav4All ? It does all the above plus favorites and POIs. AND it's FREE (at least for the time being..) It's my favorite so far.

It doesn't recognize the Bold because it just came out. I doubt seriously that it will work on the Bold.

For those with a BB other than the 8830, 8800, 8310, 8703e and 8130 or are unable to get the above trial to work on their device, they do have another "Garmin Mobile for BlackBerry" Trial offer (it is for 7-days and appears to be fully functioing) at: http: //getmobile. garmin . com/trial

Go there with your device to download the trial.
(Forgive the extra spaces, I am not permitted to post URLs yet. Simply remove the 4 extra spaces)

This 7-day free trial includes everything you need maps, millions of POIs and easy-to-use navigation software.

Also, the One-time Purchase price is listed as $99.99, but at the doctored link below, as of this posting, you can purchase it for $80. I have downloaded the trial and it seems superior to VZ Navigator.

    http: //www8. garmin . com/mobile/blackberry/bbtravel.jsp
Again, remove the 4 extra spaces to use the link.

Supported devices: BlackBerry devices that are equipped with GPS. This includes: 8110 & 8130* (Pearl with GPS), 8310 & 8330* (Curve with GPS), 8800, 8820, 8830 and 9530. *Except for the Storm, Verizon devices are not supported by this trial.
    Supported carriers: AT&T, Sprint/Nextel, T-Mobile

Mm4l thanks for posting the link. It worked for me last night, got Garmin Mobile for my 8220 for $79.99.

BTW it works with BB without GPS if you have external GPS. Works flawlessly with 8220 and BT GPS.
