When the Z10 first came out, case companies had a high expectation for the sales, and there was a huge support from case makers.

And when the Q10 came out a bit less support, and a even less support when the Z30 came out.

For me, I always go for a case/holster combo usually from Otterbox or Seidio. And I was able to get the cases I wanted for the past three BlackBerry 10 flagship I bought.



I tend to prefer bigger protective cases since I don't want to worry about breaking screens, and also for the increased grip the cases provide.

However, since BlackBerry Passport and the Classic is not really aimed for the consumer market, it is likely that case makers will not support the future BlackBerry phones.

For me, having a proper case and a holster is essential for my BlackBerry. And I just don't think BlackBerry phones will receive the same attention from case companies that the Z10 did at the launch.

IF they don't (and I don't think they won't), there will be other options and you'll surely find them on Shop Crackberry.

Will there be less case variety for niche devices yes but will there will always be cases. If the big guns don't make them because they need a certain volume to be profitable there are smaller companies that will serve that market.
