Nothing but complainers on this site. Sad, considering it's one of the biggest if not the biggest BlackBerry fan site.

Btw, use the mobile version and you're good to go.

Because I'm guessing he's using desktop mode.

Correction: the website is not giving out the proper mobile nonflash version. I would ask them to fix that. Or BlackBerry can allow us to change user agents.

You know I never realized how much I used Flash until I got an iPad! Pisses me off...seems like half of what I need to look at with iPad needs Flash, so I go to BlackBerry and watch. Don't have to worry about BB10 update yet.

I just tried watching videos from ESPN on 2 mobile platforms (don't happen to have my Windows tablet next to me at the moment) that have zero Flash support... and they played the video just fine.

The issue isn't that you need Flash to watch the video, but moreso that since the most recent iteration of BB10 has since dropped Flash support, that it needs to be able to call upon the HTML5 counterpart.

User Agent strings are nearly a thing of the past. HTML5 doesn't rely upon user agents like browsers of old. Browsers now make more use of passing meta data to the site to define how the elements and objects are delivered to the browser.

Going to espn.com, the video on the main page works for me. In desktop mode I get the flash error. You sure you're not in desktop mode?

I came here thinking The Flash was dead. Like Barry Allen..anyway, don't mind me.

Turn off desktop mode and you should be all good to go. It's not ideal, but it works.

This solves a lot of problems by providing an older BB10 browser and a flash Plugin. The nice thing is that it's still a native browser instead of using an Android browser.

Flash is dying, but BlackBerry shouldn't have taken it away from our browser until it was really all the way dead.

At least once a day now I get that Flash being out-of-date image on the screen.

It would appear to be ok, but I mostly agree. I use the regular browser for most stuff and only when I get a video error, I turn to the Flash browser.

    Agreed.

Flash is like polio. Polio is NOT dead. We may have eradicated it from the first world, but it could be back anytime cease to guard against it.

Like Flash. If you've taken common sense steps to remove the player Occupy Flash - The movement to rid the world of the Flash Player plugin you are safe, but be careful not to reinstall a player or use a device that is not immune to Flash.
