    I posted this fix to another website, and they did not do anything with it. I simply want peole to know, this is not a BlackBerry problem, but a Windows problem.

    I have attached a PDF file, with pictures. Hope this helps you. I have been living without the icon for weeks and it annoyed me enough to figure out why and describe the fix in great detail for everyone.

    I have never encounted the problem, but that is a good information when other do. Remove the driver, allow Windows Plug and Play to restore.

    One important note, this only appllies to Windows Vista which contains native BlackBerry Drivers. Widows XP does not, the drivers must be installed from the BlackBerry Desktop Manager package.

    I have Windows XP, not Windows Vista. It happened on Windows XP.
