First Opinion Thread - I'm Questioning
I've had a BB for a long time now. BBM has made our outings off the charts, especially bachelor parties in Vegas. I've been telling my buds that we wouldn't have had so much fun without our bbs. Which is true. I think our Vegas trips would have been amazing BB commercials in themselves.
However, there are the few that have been thinking of straying. I've been telling them to just stick with it, the products are getting better and will compete with the rest of 'em.
I've lost one good buddy to a samsung. I don't want to lose more.
BB.... Come on!!!!!!!!! BBM and the the phones are the best in the world. Keep us all happy!

BBM is becoming less appealing since we now have applications that can do the same thing (sometimes more) and they're compatible with iOS/Android/BlackBerry. (ie: WhatsApp, Kik, Touch, Live Profile)Perhaps life is just that...a dream and a fear.

BBM should have been released cross-platform w/ limited functionality to competing platforms a couple years ago IMO. Get everyone using your software on all devices - get them to rely and love it but give extra functionality to those on a BlackBerry. That would make people consider a BlackBerry - forcing people to not use BBM for a majority of their conversations just makes it useless. Lol

I have to agree with the other two. BBM is handicapped because it is a closed system.
You know who I can talk to with Yahoo Messenger, Google Talk and Live Profile?
Anyone that has it on their phone (whatever that may be) or computer.

I do love me some bbm. It connects me to people I already know as well as potential new friends. Live Profile is a great alternative......in theory. It's still pretty buggy to the point of being an inconvenience to use. Also, some functions are limited when communicating cross platform. For example, someone on a BB can't receive pics I send from my Rezound. But I do think it has potential and I've alerted the devs about the bugs I experience.I wish there was a way to know you're in the good old days before you've actually left them. - Andy Bernard

Yeah... There used to be a whole lot of us among friends who uses BB. But now, I'm the only one left. Thank God for whatsapp, lest I might find a need to change as well. But happy with my BB, waiting patiently for BB10...Curve 8300 -> Curve 8320 -> Bold 9780 -> Torch 9860 -> Bold 9900 -> Z10
