I don't have a key to type it but the "u" like symbol for coefficient of friction. People can call it the blackberry "you" but the cof signifies the "slide".

The working names for their phones were actually good names to have. Venice, London. Just start the naming convention with this one.

We could try to think of one worse than Priv, but that would kill the thread.

I would just go BlackBerry Phone. Remember the brand is BlackBerry... and the BlackBerry name still has value in it.

    BlackBerry Privateer

    https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Privateer

"England and Scotland practiced privateering both separately and together after they united to create the Kingdom of Great Britain in 1707. It was a way to gain for themselves some of the wealth the Spanish and Portuguese were taking from the New World before beginning their own trans-Atlantic settlement, and a way to assert naval power before a strong Royal Navy emerged".

I think there's an existing line of phones with the Evo name
Also slight irony in calling a slider phone evolution :P

    What about Phoenix

Phoenix : a mythical bird of great beauty fabled to live 500 or 600 years , to burn itself on a funeral pyre, and to rise from its ashes in the freshness of youth and live through another cycle of years: often an emblem of immortality or of reborn idealism or hope.

"Priv" would be a little more interesting, international, and also hint at the Canadian origins of the product. Priv is French for Private, for those of you who didn't know already. Just adding that little "" I think makes it that much better.
