    after 2 and a half hours on verizon tech support I finally got this
    Verizon Wireless
    Im not sure if it will work with non vzw phones as I use verizon, but give it a go!

    yeah its free to download of course cuz verizon is making 15 cents each message sent, if you download it somewhere else and use another program you dont have to pay the 15 cents. if you go to like mobile.blackberry.com you can download it for free and not have to pay the 15 cents

    The U.I. is so cheesey I tried it for a bout 5 minutes. It's the same one they put on regular cell phones.

    It's pretty awful.

    If your still looking for free IM, EQO is something to look at, although after a while I didn't love it but it does work as a free multi IM client that works on BB (at least it did on my 8130 with a little quirk here and there). Nimbuzz is another company that does something very similar (VoIP with multi IM chat client). Whatever you do, don't use Bing, it spammed my entire IM list to install Bing, so that's a strike against that company.

    Seriously JiveTalk is the best.
