Yes, this is true. While both apps, Viber and FB, require both parties involved to have the app installed on their phone, more people are likely to have FB installed than Viber. Almost everyone I know has FB yet only a handful, 1 actually that I know of, has Viber. Its all about less apps doing more, or at least the option of different apps.
