well i have the same question kinda, except i'd like to know how to delete sim contacts w/ the blackberry curve.........

I try to follow your instructions regrettably when I go ito the step to wipe the handheld data it ask me for Blackberry?
I don’t know what’s the meaning pardon my ignorance I try to put my password and it did not take it is’t any other number ? thank you for the info

You need to type the word "blackberry" (without quotes). Once you do, your user data will be wiped.
