I bought my Pearl 9100 after a few long months with a Storm 1 and I liked it a lot. I think that it was an amazing update to the original 81XX series IMHO. The slick, compact package, razor sharp screen and updated looks/internals made it a winner for me BUT not a winner in the retail arena in the end. Does anyone think that the Pearl will come back in a future iteration or is the Pearl form factor (and condensed qwerty) done for? Opinions?
It all depends on sales of the device. I loved the pearl flip but its gone! What I miss the most is SureType keyboard I would love a new device with that and OS7.
I agree with the need for a new pearl but we can't know for sure for now.
Pearl is a nice device that was made for "regular" users to bite another part of the market back when Blackberry was mostly marketed as a "Smartphone for business" and started to be used in a more wide range, i think that RIM will bring something new like the pearl (or a new pearl) after they will get higher then where they are today... now they need to bring the new classic devices back to popularity.
