    Hello

We need a bit of help with setting up email on a 9780, have just switched over onto Virgin UK, wanting to set up email to be able to use apps etc. Have gone on the SetUp menu>email accounts, but it won't let us do anything from there, can't click into it. So we are stuck on how to actually set it up.

Also can we just set up the address we are using currently on yahoomail?

Have you sent new service books when you moved carriers? BIS is still working for the legacy devices right? If I remember correctly you could do it from the setup app. I could also do it from my t-mo page. You might have to call and see if the new carrier can send the new service books.

Outside of that, I'm afraid I dont know.

    any success?
assuming u have a BIS plan it should work as robotic states.
if you don't have a BIS plan, the only alternative is to load LogicMail. Easy to find via google and easy to setup. Logicmail works outside of BIS but acts more like the stock BBerry email program.

    Hello

Yes we have had some success. We have rang Virgin mobile, who had no clue whatsoever, so they were helpful NOT!!. They just kept saying its a problem with the phone? Not sure about that.

I think he has had some success setting up an email via blackberry ID, would this be ok?
Also he now wants to add his yahoomail account to it, which i'm not sure how to do without the email setup wizard not working.

Is it still a case of needing Virgin to send the service books?

PS yes we have Blackberry services through Virgin

Yes, IMO, you are lacking the proper service books. I'd ask for a supervisor, and have them push the VM service books to you. The only other alternative I see is loading 3rd party like LogicMail. But if you are paying for BIS, that is a wasteful option. I'd rather have BIS email.
You need those Service Books sent, IMO.
    good luck!
